Reviews
What can I say I love these powders there are two natural shampoo(s) amongst these list of powders (Shikakai Powder & Aritha Powder) – the rest are powders either strength the root and body of the hair or dense/tinge the color of the hair and or promote growth.
Since using these powders I can tell the improvement in the quality and strength of my relaxed/texalxed hair – luv my ayurvedic regime! I try and use these powders 1-2times weekly or at least once fortnightly depends on how busy I am at home, work or with church ministry.
I will give you a few tips on how to mix these powders (ratio portions) to get the best results and improvement in your hair strength and growth.
I always always pre-poo with one of my faviorite oils listed below either overnight or for an hour or with a steam cap on. Here is one of my paste mixture (1 teaspoon (heaped) shikakai powder: 2 teaspoons amla powder or brahmi leaves powder: 1-2 teaspoon (heaped) maka or kalpi tone powder)
I put the above ratio of powders in a glass jar that I have specifically for my ayurvedic paste, I then boil the kettle; once the kettle is boiled I pour boiled water gradually to the powder to make a paste to nice thick/semi liquid form – so that it is easy to apply to the hair.
Once I have the desired quality of paste I need, I section my hair into four and apply warm paste from scalp to hair ends until hair complete cover (similar to when you are relaxing your hair) – I will then cover with a steam cap or sit under my hooded dryer if I am not busy around the house for say 1hr or 2! After the 1hr-2hrs paste sitting on the hair I rinse with warm-hot water – as hot as I can take – I do rinse for a good 10-15 minutes to remove the paste thoroughly from the hair.
I then proceed to moisturizing DC of my choice and Under the hood dryer with a steam cap I go for say another 40mins!

Reviews on The Ayurvedic Oils
My Favorite of these 3 oils are the Amla Oil & The Vatika Coconut Hair Oil – I pre-poo overnight when I can with these two oils before I use my ayurvedic paste – which I will never give up! Lol
But firstly let me state that I no longer use the Shikakai Oil – Gross! Yack smell of oil! This oil reminds me of Kerosene oil from back home. I will never use it again or buy again!
Now unto my two favorites and the keepers – I apply either of these two oils the nite before and cover with a steam cap and then use my silk scarf and tie tight until the next morning. I make my ayurvedic paste and apply to my hair and let it sit for say a 1hr-2hrs.
Note I did not wash the oil out I apply the paste will the oil is still in the hair – I do the same if I use the ayurvedic rinse.
